Attorney Jason Ollman of the Marin, Barrett, and Murphy Law Firm successfully defended a case involving after being contacted by an elderly woman's family after receiving a baffling summons in the mail. The Client is in her 80's and has several health issues. The Providence Police alleged that she was involved in a hit and run at 1:26 am. The family was baffled because she does not live anywhere near Providence and very rarely drove herself anywhere anymore.
Defense counsel Attorney Jason Ollman was able to secure the police report and quickly saw that the only witness to this incident wished to remain anonymous, did not give a description of the driver, and that the Providence Police did no follow-up investigation to solidify their case. The case was passed to trial and Attorney Ollman was able to convince the officer on the day of the trial to dismiss the case in its entirety due to the lack of evidence. In addition the client never had to appear in court, not even for the trial date.
