Attorney Jason Ollman of Marin, Barrett, and Murphy Law Firm achieved a significant legal victory on behalf of a client charged with multiple offenses, including DUI, reckless driving, refusal to submit to a chemical test, speeding, and operating with the presence of an alcoholic beverage. The charges were filed by the Rhode Island State Police putting our client's commercial driver's license (CDL) and livelihood at risk.
Understanding the gravity of the situation, our defense team conducted a thorough review of the case, examining all available evidence and crafting persuasive arguments to present to the Attorney General. Through skillful negotiations and compelling advocacy, we were able to secure a favorable resolution for our client.
We are pleased to announce that FOUR out of the FIVE charges against our client have been DISMISSED. The State agreed to accept a no contest plea to the charge of reckless driving, ensuring the preservation of our client's CDL. On the reckless driving charge, our client received a one-year probationary period, coupled with community service and substance abuse counseling.
CASE RESULTS: DUI, REFUSAL, SPEEDING, AND PRESENCE OF ALCOHOL CHARGES WERE DISMISSED. Our client received ONE YEAR PROBATION on the reckless driving charge, with substance abuse counseling and community service, preserving their CDL and livelihood, on July 12th, 2023.
