DUI Charge Dismissed in the Providence County District Court on November 2nd, 2022

November 2022

CHARGES:
(1) FIRST OFFENSE DUI (BAC UNKNOWN)
(2) REFUSAL TO SUBMIT TO A CHEMICAL TEST

The attorneys at Marin and Barrett are pleased to announce another DUI dismissal.  Our client was stopped by the State Police in Providence County after troopers observed the vehicle speeding and swerving in and out of traffic.  After conducting a traffic stop and investigation our client was charged with DUI and refusing to submit to a chemical test.

While the case looked like a straightforward one, our client had potential immigration issues that needed to be handled carefully.  After several deliberate conferences with the judge and state we ultimately agreed to a resolution that got rid of all of the criminal offenses and will not jeopardize our client's quest for United States Citizenship.

RESULT: FIRST OFFENSE DUI CHARGE in exchange for an admission the charge of refusal to submit to a chemical test on November 2nd, 2022

Practice area(s): Criminal Defense, DUI / DWI
