As reported by the Providence Journal, a 54 year old RIPTA Worker was arrested by the Rhode Island State Police on charges of possession and transfer of child pornography. the arrest was the result of an investigation by the State Police Computer Crimes Unit and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
The Worker was held at the Rhode Island State Police Barracks pending his arraignment. He had previously been terminated from his employment at RIPTA earlier in the week.
