Possession of Alcohol by a Minor Charge Dismissed on 8/21/2020

August 2020

CHARGE: POSSESSION OF ALCOHOL BY A MINOR

The Rhode Island criminal defense attorneys at Marin & Barrett, Inc. are happy to report the dismissal of a charge of possession of alcohol by a minor that had been brought against a client.  The case arose when our client was apprehended by the Police after he was discovered to be drinking with his friends on a beach in Washington County Rhode Island.  He was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor and issued a summons for court.

When we were hired to handle the case we did not wait for the court date to get to work, but rather we proactively reached out to the charging Police Department and arranged for our client to have the case dismissed prior to the court date.  In a matter of days the matter was dismissed outright and cleared off of his record, without our client ever needing to appear at court.

RESULTS: POSSESSION OF ALCOHOL CHARGE DISMISSED on August 21st, 2020
