DUI and Obstruction Charges Dismissed on April 28th, 2022

April 2022

CHARGES:
(1) FIRST OFFENSE DUI (BAC UNKNOWN)
(2) OBSTRUCTION OF AN OFFICER IN THE EXECUTION OF HIS DUTY

The attorneys at Marin & Barrett, Inc. are once again pleased to announce another successfully defended DUI charge.  Our client was driving in Newport County when he was pulled over for a series of moving violations.  What started as a routine stop went south very quickly and our client was pulled out of the car and ultimately charged with DUI and obstructing a police officer.

After obtaining a copy of the police report as well as the results of our client's blood test we set out to build a defense.  We were initially able to find a flaw in the blood test that was fatal to the government's case against our client.  Ultimately, we were able to use that issue to secure a dismissal of all charges.  Now are client continues to have a clean record and suffered no legal consequences from that unfortunate night.
