Three Convictions Expunged From Our Client's Record Under New Law
August 2017
EXPUNGED CASES:
(1) 1990 SIMPLE ASSAULT CONVICTION
(2) 1990 SIMPLE ASSAULT AND MALICIOUS INJURY TO PROPERTY CONVICTIONS
(3) 2002 DISORDERLY CONDUCT CONVICTION
In July 2017, a new law was signed into effect by the Governor permitting the expungement of up to six misdemeanor criminal convictions so long as the convictions do not involve domestic violence offenses or DUI charges. In one of the first cases heard by the Rhode Island District Court under the new law, we are pleased to announce the expungement of three criminal convictions that had remained on our Client's record for over fifteen years (since his last conviction). We were able to show the Court that our Client had remained out of trouble for well beyond 10 years since the completion of his last sentence as required by the statute. If you have been held back by multiple misdemeanor criminal convictions on your record for over ten years, contact Attorney Matthew Marin today for a no obligation expungement consultation. We are available 24/7 at 401-228-8271 or by email at [email protected].
