2003 Misdemeanor Larceny Charge Expunged 1/31/18
January 2018
CHARGES: MISDEMEANOR LARCENY CHARGE
At the Law Offices of Matthew T. Marin, Esq. Inc., we are extremely pleased to report the EXPUNGEMENT of a misdemeanor larceny charge that had been on our Client's record since 2003. Our Client had received one year probation on the larceny charge back in December of 2003. Up until this year, our Client had been prevented from expunging this case from his record because he had other cases, both before and after this case, in which he received sentences of probation. Previously, a person with multiple cases of probation was prohibited from expunging any case in which they received probation. In 2017, a new expungement law was passed enabling some, including our Client today, to expunge cases involving probation even if they have other cases on their record in which they received probation. We were able to handle the entire expungement process on his behalf without him needing to return to Rhode Island or appear in Court. If you or a loved one has an old Rhode Island case on your record and you would like to have it removed but you are not sure it can be done, contact Attorney Matthew Marin. We regularly assist Clients to expunge very old cases from their records and would be happy to speak with you to discuss how we can expunge your record. We are available 24/7 at 401-228-8271 or by email at [email protected].
