During Attorney Matthew T. Marin's final year in law school he took part in a Rule 9 Program with the Rhode Island Department of Attorney General's Office. As a "Rule 9," Matt became part of the Attorney General's Violations Unit charged with prosecution of Bail Violators (46G) and Probation Violators (32f) in the Providence District Court. He also gained tremendous experience prosecuting Breathalyzer Refusals at the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal. As a Rule 9, Attorney Matthew T. Marin had the opportunity to successfully try and convict five defendants charged with Breathalyzer Refusal.
In school, Attorney Matthew T. Marin graduated tenth in his class, magna cum laude, from Roger Williams University School of Law. During his time at Roger Williams, Matt strove to develop the trial and advocacy skill that he relies on everyday to vigorously represent his clients. He developed those skills while standing out and receiving distinction as the most outstanding Advanced Trial Advocacy student. Matt further separated himself from his classmate when he was selected for the Roger Williams Trial Team. On the trial team Matt competed in the American Association for Justice (AAJ) Regional Trial Competition in Boston, MA and the National Ethics Trial Competition in Sacramento, CA.
