Shoplifting Charges Dismissed in Kent County District Court on 8/28/2020
August 2020
CHARGES:
(1) MISDEMEANOR SHOPLIFTING
(2) CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT MISDEMEANOR SHOPLIFTING
The criminal defense lawyers at Marin & Barrett, Inc. are happy to report the outright dismissal of shoplifting and conspiracy charges that had been brought against two co-defendant Clients in the Kent County District Court. The two defendants were charged with shoplifting after they were caught attempting to steal items from a prominent store chain in Rhode Island.
After being hired to represent our Clients on the charges, we got to work building a case for each of them individually. We were then able to use their personal history coupled with the facts of the case to allow the two to complete some nominal community service in exchange for a dismissal of all charges. Once the community service was complete, we were then able to have the charges dismissed outright and sealed from their record, all without either of them ever having to set foot inside a courthouse.
RESULTS: ALL CHARGES DISMISSED on August 28th, 2020
