CRIMINAL CHARGE: MISDEMEANOR SHOPLIFTING
At the Law Offices of Matthew T. Marin, Esq. Inc., we are pleased to report that first offense shoplifting charge pending against a Client in the Kent County District Court has been dismissed. The Police were called to a local grocery store for a reported shoplifting of items totaling over $363. Store security had alleged that our Client had attempted to leave the store without paying for a groceries. The Client was arrested and charged with misdemeanor shoplifting and given an arraignment date in the Kent County District Court in Warwick, RI.
After having discussions with the Police and the Prosecution for the Town, we were able to negotiate a dismissal of the charge after our Client performed community service.
