Felony Welfare Fraud Charges Dismissed in Providence Superior Court 10/18/17
October 2017
CHARGES:
(1) FELONY WELFARE FRAUD
(2) FELONY FILING A FALSE DOCUMENT WITH A PUBLIC OFFICIAL
At the Law Offices of Matthew T. Marin, Esq. Inc., we are extremely pleased to report the dismissal of felony charges pending against a Client. Our Client had been arrested and charged with felony welfare fraud and felony filing a false document with a public official in 1989-1990. At the time, she believed the case was resolved and moved out of state to North Carolina. Earlier this year our Client learned that the case was not resolved and she had in-fact had a bench warrant for her arrest for nearly 30 years. Once our Office became involved, we were able to negotiate a swift dismissal of the charges upon payment of restitution that was owed to the State of Rhode Island. If you or a loved one is facing a misdemeanor or felony welfare or other fraud charges in Rhode Island, give Attorney Matthew Marin a call for immediate and experienced legal advice and representation.
