Felony Financial Charges Dismissed in the Providence Superior Court on October 20th, 2022

October 2022

CHARGES:
(1) OBTAINING MONEY UNDER FALSE PRETENSES;
(2) CHECK KITING;
(2) CONSPIRACY.

The Attorneys at Marin and Barrett are once again thrilled to announce another dismissed felony charge.  Our client lives out of State and had to conduct a background check for employment, only to find out that they had an old warrant out of Rhode Island for financial crimes.

Given that our client was out of state and unable to return and needed the charges and warrants resolved immediately, we got to work right away trying to reach a resolution with the prosecutor and judge.  In a matter of days we were able to reach a resolution with the prosecutor to get the defrauded bank reimbursed, the warrant canceled, and get the charges dismissed and sealed off of client's record – all without them ever needing to return to Rhode Island.  We were able to protect our client's livelihood and preserve a clean criminal record.

RESULT: ALL CHARGES DISMISSED AND EXPUNGED on October 20th, 2022
