Police officers responded to a complaint made by our Clients husband that lead to her being charged with felony assault with a knife and domestic simple assault after an incident.
After being hired to handle the matter we promptly got to work securing a good outcome. Marin & Barrett, Inc., was able to successfully argue that the Client acted in self-defense, resulting in the Client pleading to non-domestic disorderly conduct and was given a one-year filing with no counseling or conditions. The one-year filing does not constitute a conviction and it allows the Client to have the case removed from her record upon successful completion of the one-year filing.
