DUI and Marijuana Possession Charges Dismissed in Kent County District Court in March 2022
March 2022
CHARGES:
(1) FIRST OFFENSE DUI (Driving Under the Influence of Drugs)
(2) POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA
Attorney Nicholas Parrillo with Marin and Barrett is pleased to report that a client charged with Driving Under the Influence of Marijuana and possession of marijuana had both of his charges dismissed in full. After a traffic stop in Kent County, a Police Officer noticed the smell of marijuana as well as indications that our client had recently smoked. After conducting field sobriety tests and searching the car, the Officer arrested our Client, charged him, and took a blood sample to determine intoxication.
Once the case was brought to Court, our attorneys were able not only to have the blood results thrown out but also able to have the drugs themselves thrown out, at which point the charges were dismissed in full. Our client avoided any type of criminal ramifications, any license suspension, and has since had the charges fully sealed from his record.
RESULT: ALL CHARGES DISMISSED with no loss of license or criminal record in March 2022
