Domestic Violence Charges Dismissed in the Rhode Island District Court on September 5th, 2022
September 2022
CHARGES:
(1) DOMESTIC ASSAULT
(2) DOMESTIC DISORDERLY CONDUCT (R.I.G.L. 11-45-1)
Attorney Nicholas Parrillo with the Marin and Barrett Law Firm is again proud to announce the complete dismissal of all domestic violence charges filed against our client. The Police were called to the scene of a residence for the report of an individual who had forced his way into the house and assaulted the residence and alleged victim. On the spot, the Police issued a warrant for our client who was arrested later the same day on misdemeanor domestic violence charges.
After meeting with our Client and investigating the charges, it turned out that, as is often the case, the alleged facts were not the what really happened. It turned out that our client was actually the owner of the residence and that the matter was an eviction that went awry. We were able to build evidence to present to the prosecutor who was able to confirm our Client's side of the story and dismissed the charges in their entirety. Now our client is back home, no longer facing a jail sentence, and with a clean criminal record to show for it.
