CHARGES: (1) DOMESTIC ASSAULT AND BATTERY (2) DOMESTIC DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Marin & Murphy Law Firm is again happy to report the full dismissal for a client charged with domestic assault and disorderly conduct. Police officers in Providence County received a call of a couple in their apartment complex arguing and fighting. Officers responded to find the residence in disarray and blood all over the kitchen. After a brief investigation, the officers arrested our client on domestic assault and disorderly conduct charges.
Fighting cases during Covid presented challenges for everyone and this case was no different. Without consistent court dates it can be challenging to argue your case to a prosecutor or a judge. Nevertheless, we were able to communicate with the prosecutor effectively, relay our defense, and make a case for a dismissal prior to trial. Ultimately the city dropped the charges in full allowing our client to clear his criminal record and return home.
