(2) DOMESTIC DISORDERLY CONDUCT
(3) VIOLATION OF FILING COMPLAINT
Attorney Matthew Marin is pleased to report that domestic violence charges pending against a Client in the Sixth Division District Court in Providence have been dismissed. Additionally, a 32F Violation of Filing complaint that had been filed against our Client was withdrawn.
Two weeks ago, our Client was arrested by a local police department after an incident in which the police were called. Our Client's roommate told the police that after a verbal disagreement, the Client spit on the roommate in the shoulder. The Police arrested our Client and charged her with domestic assault and battery and domestic disorderly conduct. Additionally, when our Client was presented on these charges before the District Court she was presented with a Violation of Filing Complaint. The State alleged that the Client was serving on Filing sentence at the time of her arrest and therefore in violation of her Filing.
Earlier today, the criminal domestic violence charges were dismissed and the State withdrew the Violation of the Filing Complaint. If you or a loved one is facing domestic violence charges or a Violation of Filing complaint in Rhode Island, give Attorney Matthew Marin a call for immediate and experienced legal advice and representation.
