Disorderly Conduct Charge Dismissed in Providence District Court on 11/18/2019

November 2019

CHARGE: DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Marin and Barrett, Inc. is extremely pleased to report that a charge of disorderly conduct against our client in Providence County District Court has been dismissed.  The police were called to a concert in Woonsocket for the report of a drunk and unruly man acting crazy and trying to get into the venue.  After multiple attempts to defuse the situation and calm the man down, they ultimately arrested him and charged him with disorderly conduct.

Immediately upon being hired to defend our client, we went to work on determining what we thought the State could – and could not – prove against him.  After multiple conferences with the judge and prosecutor, it was ultimately agreed that the disorderly conduct charge couldn't stick.  The charge was dismissed outright and sealed from our client's BCI, preserving his clean criminal record..  If you or a loved one is facing a disorderly conduct charge in Rhode Island, give the experienced criminal defense attorneys at Marin and Barrett, Inc. a call for immediate and experienced legal advice and criminal defense representation.
