Disorderly Conduct Charge Dismissed in Kent County District Court 8/30/17
August 2017
CHARGE: DISORDERLY CONDUCT (R.I.G.L. 11-45-1(a) - Fighting, Threatening, Violent, Tumultuous Behavior)
At the Law Offices of Matthew T. Marin, Esq. Inc., we are extremely pleased to report the DISMISSAL of a misdemeanor disorderly conduct case that had been brought by a local police department. Our Client had allegedly engaged in a verbal altercation with a neighbor after the neighbor had been dangerously driving a motorcycle up and down the street. After the altercation boiled over, the Police were called and ended up arresting our Client. Once the case reached the prosecutor's desk in Court, we were able to negotiate a swift resolution of the charges due to the fact that our Client had never been in trouble with the law before. The charge of disorderly conduct was dismissed after our negotiations and a few Court appearances.
