MAY 15 COVID-19 UPDATE: Late on Friday May 15th, 2020 the Rhode Island Supreme Court issued Executive Order No. 2020-12 which addressed the Court's COVID-19 Pandemic Response and Continuity of Operations. With respect to criminal proceedings in Rhode Island, the May 15th Order addresses a number of different issues.

5/8/20 COVID-19 UPDATE: As it currently stands, the Rhode Island State Court system appears poised to re-open on Monday May 18th. Since the Courts initial closure on March 13th, all criminal and traffic court cases have been either rescheduled or held open to be rescheduled and given a new Court date.
