Rhode Island Drug Case: Two arrested in Tiverton on drug trafficking charges

TIVERTON, R.I. - A local man and woman are being held on charges they trafficked drugs in Tiverton and Little Compton, the police said.

More than $10,000 in drugs, $5,802 in cash and several guns were seized from their residence.

Timothy Durfee, 24, and Sara Cantin, also 24, both of of 2423 Main Rd. were arrested Friday and charged with possession with intent to distribute oxycodone, possession with intent to distribute suboxone, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and possession of firearms while committing a crime of violence.

The charges are a result of a six-month investigation during which Tiverton and Little Compton police conducted several controlled purchases of oxycodone and marijuana.

A bail hearing is scheduled for Dec. 13.
